What we shipped this week (April 13-April 19)
Hi everyone,
Here's a quick look at what we shipped this week. Lots of quality-of-life improvements that should make your day-to-day easier.
Refunds Are Here
You can now request refunds for bookings directly from your admin dashboard. The system handles the Stripe processing automatically. Superadmins can approve and process refunds, while org admins can submit refund requests for review. No more back-and-forth emails to get a vendor refunded. Please note that this feature is disabled by default on organizer accounts.
Better Vendor Search
The search bar on your market date bookings page got an upgrade. You can now find vendors by first name, last name, or full name, not just their business name. If you've ever struggled to find "John's Farm Stand" by searching "John," that now works.
Booking Buttons Fixed
Some of you noticed that the cancel and rebook buttons on the vendor dashboard stopped working after scrolling through paginated bookings. That's fixed. Buttons now work reliably no matter which page you're on.
Mentions and Notifications
The @mention feature in notes and interactions is now working properly. Previously, some mentions weren't triggering email notifications due to a case-sensitivity issue with email lookups. That's been resolved, and we've extended mentions to work in interaction notes too.
Instagram Link Fix
Pasting a full Instagram URL into a vendor profile was getting rejected by our validation. Now you can paste the full link and the system will extract the handle automatically. No more fiddling with formatting.
Organizer AI Tools (MCP & API Access)
We've introduced a programmatic API and MCP connector for market operations. If your organization uses any external tools or workflows, you can now integrate directly with Convene for things like approvals, booking management, and more. This also means you can connect ChatGPT and Claude to Convene and manage your market operations from a chat window. Reach out if you'd like details.
That's the week! As always, let us know if you run into anything or have ideas for what we should work on next.
Run your market with less effort
Convene handles vendor applications, booth fees, and payouts. You get a ready network of vendors already looking for a market like yours.
