Convene now works with ChatGPT and Claude
If you run a market, you already know the job is not just event planning. It is constant follow-up, approvals, vendor questions, payment reminders, space assignments, and a hundred small decisions that keep things moving. We built Convene to make that easier. Now we are taking that one step further.
Convene can now connect with AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude and OpenClaw, which means organizers can manage more of their market by simply asking for what they need in plain English.
Instead of clicking through admin screens, you can ask things like:
- What is still pending for this week's market?
- Show me unpaid orders
- Approve this application
- Send a reminder to vendors who have not paid yet
- What bookings do we have for Sunday?
- Assign space 14A to this vendor
That is the big idea. Convene is no longer just a place where your market data lives. It can also become something you can talk to.
For organizers, chambers of commerce, downtown alliances, and property teams, that matters because the day-to-day work of running a market is often operational, repetitive, and time-sensitive. If you can handle those tasks through a simple conversation, it lowers the barrier for staff, saves time, and makes the platform easier to use.
This is especially helpful for lean teams. Not everyone wants to learn a new technical system or click through multiple dashboards to find one answer. Most people just want to ask a question and get the answer, or give a direction and have it done.
Under the hood, Convene now offers secure API access and MCP support. In plain terms, that means trusted tools like ChatGPT and Claude can connect directly to your Convene account, look up the right information, and help you take action without leaving the conversation.
The important part is not the acronym. The important part is the outcome. You can review applications, check orders, manage bookings, look up vendors, create market dates, send reminders, and handle routine admin work in a more natural way.
We see this as a practical upgrade, not a gimmick. It is not about replacing the organizer. It is about giving organizers a faster, easier interface to the system they are already using.
For some teams, that will mean handling quick tasks from a desktop assistant. For others, it may mean building internal workflows around approvals, reporting, or communication. Either way, the goal is the same: less friction, better visibility, and more time spent actually running the event.
